Synthesis of high-crystallinity MIL-125 with outstanding xylene isomer separation performance

چکیده

MIL-125 is a metal-organic framework with great potential for the adsorption and separation of xylene isomers. However, usually synthesized under anhydrous anaerobic conditions. In this study, homogeneously shaped highly crystalline was by introducing water-resistant titanium-containing oligomers into synthesis process. With assistance novel oligomers, can be in presence water, which meets batch-production requirements. The performance obtained also significantly enhanced. para-xylene/meta-xylene selectivity reach 13.5 mesitylene, higher than values most previously reported para-selective adsorbents. verified using both batch breakthrough experiments liquid phase. addition, influence solvent effect evaluated through microcalorimetric experiments, liquid-phase theoretical calculations.
